National 5: Electrochemical Cells

Today’s video looks at electrochemical cells. Electrochemical cells produce electricity by joining two electrodes in a circuit with an electrolyte. Metals and non-metals can be involved in electrochemical cells. One half of the cell undergoes an oxidation reaction, the other half a reduction reaction (overall a redox reaction).
