In today’s Vlog, there’s a few tidbits from the garden in October. Lots of dahlias now flourish in the garden so I keep taking some of them home. There are different cultivars of dahlias, all of them very pretty. Chrysanthemums are blooming abundantly so I harvested some for tea. The second hand thrift shop also had Japanese inspired vases that I bought with pleasure. They were gracing the table along with the dahlias. Then the final highlight of the occasion is unboxing a new tea set called “Silk Road Collection.” It’s like opening gifts! The tea set were shipped in instalment so I have been receiving box upon box. That prolonged the excitement. The dining table is full of beautiful chinoiserie, much to my delight. Here’s to help you navigate the video in case you want to skip to portions: 😘😆 00:00 The Garden, first frost. 02:10 Kimchi 03:25 “Italian Ice” rose buds dying for Tea 03:44 Roasting fish with kimchi 04:36 Chrysanthemum flowers dried for tea 05:12 Unboxing Silk Road tea set from Maxwell and Williams #1 06:37 Dahlias, vases and books from the thrift store, chrysanthemum tea 09:21 Continue unboxing Silk Road tea set #2 12:56 More frost in the garden 13:58 Final part of unboxing Silk Road Tea set #3 🥰 ~*~ "A garden is a grand teacher; it teaches patience and careful watchfulness; it teaches integrity and thrift; above all, it teaches entire trust." ~ Gertrude Jekyll Welcome to Delightful Souvenirs from the Garden, a collection of gardening moments and experiences. Thank you for coming to learn and garden with me. I hope you enjoy yourself. My name is Maiah, an amateur gardener. My little garden is located in the North (New Brunswick Canada). Our summers are very short (100-110 days a year) and the temperatures can go down to minus 20 (even -30) degrees Celsius in the winter. The fleeting time makes every moment in the garden special. This vlog is meant to collect those delightful moments in the garden as keepsakes and remembrances of lessons learned. Thank you for gardening with me, I hope you enjoy yourself. Happy gardening!
