Derbyshire Dales Extraordinary meeting, 22nd July 2026

This meeting provides Council with a revised Derbyshire Dales Local Plan 2026-2042. The Local Plan outlines the spatial strategy, housing and employment allocations, strategic and development management policies for the Derbyshire Dales to 2042. The report includes the Pre Submission Draft of the Local Plan, supporting changes to policy maps, and a programme of public consultation. The purpose of the report is for Council to note the recommendations of the Local Plan Committee held on 17th June 2026, with a view to determining the Pre Submission Draft Derbyshire Dales Local Plan as a viable proposition for a six week period of statutory public consultation, allowing stakeholders to make representations on the Plan’s legal compliance and soundness, prior to submission to the Secretary of State for independent examination.
