Conveyor belting is critical equipment at any mine or process plant. A lot of conveyors we work on have belts that would be considered “in poor condition.” When belts have damage to the top cover, it becomes difficult to scrape carryback and challenging to control dust, leading to belt mistracking problems. Premature belt damage increases the overall cost of operation due to belt replacements. Lots of facilities don’t recognize the difference between normal belt wear and belt damage.
