Lethal Fault + Long List of Expensive Problems Bring BisMerc's Future Into Doubt [Mercedes W124]

I found a critical issue that made this Mercedes W124 outright dangerous and unsafe to drive, having fixed that, many more problems have come up. Is this 80's Classic Coupé still worth fixing and spending money on or should I look for another classic car?
