Join Anna and Alf today as they visit LIVERPOOL in ENGLAND, UK to visit the childhood homes of THE BEATLES ~ PAUL, JOHN, RINGO and GEORGE and take a walk around the streets that they walked down while Anna shares some history and also the little Known connection of 'THE BEATLES' to NORTH WALES and their love of it.
In this video there will also be a look around the famous MATHEW ST where THE CAVERN is located, that has a BEATLES MUSEUM, BEATLES STORE, JOHN LENNON STATUE and pubs that they visited.
The first house visited is PAUL MCCARTNEYS at 20 Forthlin Road.
Anna and Alf then cross over the road and walk the path through the ALLERTON MANOR GOLF CLUB which was between the houses of John and Paul and that was used by them both to cut though to each others houses for writing songs and rehearsing, and where BEATLES photos were taken when they were famous.
They then go to JOHN LENNONS HOUSE where he lived with his aunty at Mendips, 251 Menlove Avenue, and then walk about 30 metres down the road to the place where he saw his mother get run over by a car as she crossed the road.
The next visit is to DOVEDALE PRIMARY SCHOOL which was where JOHN and GEORGE attended. It was here in 2001, that YOKO ONO donated £ 25,000 for school refurbishments.
Just around the corner is the famous PENNY LANE where Anna and Alf walk down to see the actual places that they sang about in the song 'PENNY LANE' which Anna explains about as they walk around here.
Next visit is the BIRTHPLACE OF GEORGE HARRISON at 12 Arnold Grove and then onto his CHILDHOOD HOME at 25 Upton Green which was where the famous photo of George with his guitar was taken at the front of the house and where THE BEATLES rehearsed.
The next visit is to 10 Admiral Grove where RINGO STAR lived and
the last place on this tour was to walk around STRAWBERRY FIELD where JOHN found refuge as a child playing at what used to be a children's home there not far from his house and what is now owned by THE SALVATION ARMY.
Anna then shares the long but little known relationship and history of THE BEATLES in NORTH WALES and their love of it and also some footage of them when they visited.
