The Reality of Bow Hunting Alaska: 8 DAYS on KODIAK Island

Bow Hunting Alaska isn't for the weak, or the soft. The Alaskan wilderness is an unforgettable and unforgiving place. This week I'm back in the wild Alaskan bush traditional bow hunting the hardy little blacktail deer of Kodiak Island. I'm joined by my long time friend Brad Brooks and camera man Dillon Flint. We will be backpacking deep into the wilderness, trying to avoid some of the largest brown bears in the world, and camping. Alaska's extreme weather brought heavy rain and fog, making the hunting difficult but we saw plenty of deer and, when we had good visibility, the spot and stalk hunting was fantastic. I'm hunting with one of my osage orange selfbows on this trip so I'll have to get extremely close in order to have a chance. The folks below are a HUGE part of what makes these videos possible!
