Can Plastic Look Like Stained Glass? | IKEA Lamp Makeover

Can IKEA's cheapest floor lamp become something a little more elegant? My friend had an old TÅGARP floor lamp that completely disappeared into a dark corner. Instead of replacing it, I decided to see how far a bit of brass spray paint, some Art Deco inspiration and an unreasonable amount of research into IKEA plastics could take it. There were primers to test, flexible polypropylene to negotiate with, stained-glass paints to experiment with, sad black pole to become brave brass, and one rather opinionated lampshade. Apparently even the cheapest lamp deserves a second chance. :D I enjoy finding ways to improve things instead of replacing them.
