Homemade SINIGANG MILKFISH Family Lunch + I’m Learning How to Debone Bangus from Our Filipina Helper

Today both of my regular helpers Irish and Veb were busy, so we had a new helper for the day - and she surprised us with two delicious Filipino dishes! 😍 🍲 What’s cooking today? We enjoyed Sinigang na Bangus (Filipino sour milkfish soup) and Pork Bicol Express, one of the most flavorful Filipino dishes! I also watched my helper deboning bangus for the first time. It looks like a real skill! Maybe one day, when baby Alina is a little older, I’ll try doing it myself. 🐟 ❤️ A happy Filipino family lunch! Our lunch became even more special when Milen, the son of my friend Alena and a good friend of my boys, Misha and Kostya, joined us. I’m so happy to see that he enjoys Filipino food more and more! We all love bangus, especially the crispy fried parts near the skin. But you have to be careful with those little fish bones! 😄 🏡 Our future home is finally taking shape! We visited the house we’re renovating on Samal Island and saw more progress. The owner’s relatives were clearing out unnecessary things and building a concrete storage room to keep some belongings they can’t take with them. There’s still so much to do, and the end of October is getting closer!
