Neuromodulation is the modification of nerve function though a number of ways including chemically (intrathecal baclofen), electrical stimuli (functional electrical stimulation and epidural stimulation), and magnetic fields (transcranial magnetic stimulation). This is a field that is both established and emerging depending on the area and many are excited about the therapeutic potential for people with SCI. Neuromodulation offers the potential for improvements in many ways include movement, sensation, bowel, bladder, and sexual function. #Neuralink is brain-computer interface which is also a type of neuromodulation.
