The villagers again submitted their request, following which approximately 4,800 feet of additional pipeline and two 5 HP motors were provided. This brought the total pipeline assistance described in the report to approximately 17,800 feet. However, another challenge remained. The village did not have sufficient electricity to operate the motors efficiently. The existing local power supply was unable to provide the required load, preventing the drainage system from functioning continuously. To address this final bottleneck, Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj ordered the installation of a 10 kW solar power system along with the required motor, controller, fittings and supporting equipment. A technical team was also sent to install the complete solar structure and make the system operational rather than simply handing over the material. The 10 kW solar plant has now been installed and successfully tested. The motors have been operated using the solar system, allowing accumulated water to be pumped through the previously installed pipelines and discharged toward the designated canal system. Villagers said that land which remained uncultivated for decades is now returning to agricultural use. Paddy, bajra and other crops have started appearing in areas that were earlier repeatedly submerged. Residents also stated that some families who had moved away because of the waterlogging problem have begun considering a return to the village. The Nangla Dadu project developed in several stages—13,000 feet of pipeline and heavy motors, another 4,800 feet of pipeline and 5 HP motors, diesel assistance when required, and finally a 10 kW solar system to provide a reliable power source. According to the report, each new phase addressed the next practical obstacle in making the drainage arrangement functional.
