SERPENT IS NOW OPEN! | Niagara Amusement Park Vlog & Review 2024

Niagara Amusement Park - formerly known as Fantasy Island - is a small amusement park in Grand Island, New York. The park has been going through a bit of a transformation lately, as it was permanently closed in 2020, only to be purchased and reopened by Gene Staples in 2021. On August 27, 2024, I decided to visit this park for the very first time for the grand opening of their first new roller coaster - Serpent! In addition to this S.D.C. Galaxi, Niagara Amusement Park also features a fantastic CCI wooden coaster called Silver Comet - which is definitely a ride every woodie fan should experience. During my visit, I also got to watch the Western Town Shootout show and ride a few flat rides. Niagara Amusement Park is definitely in a weird place right now, as it has yet to return to full operation. Many rides are still under construction, and I even saw pieces for rides like the old Laser Loop Schwarzkopf Shuttle Loop coaster in the parking lot! However, the park is coming back to life - slowly but surely - with new additions and improvements, and I was glad I could help celebrate the arrival of this new coaster during my visit. LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT: Niagara Amusement Park and Grand Island, NY are located on the traditional and treaty lands of the Haudenosaunee and Attiwonderonk first nations. As a visitor to these lands, I acknowledge my responsibilities as a settler to challenge colonialism and the systems of oppression that have marginalized indigenous peoples, and will work to uplift indigenous voices and create a more inclusive and equitable community for all.
