Prophet Muhammad said this area is one of the gardens of Paradise, making it one of the most revered spots for Muslims during Hajj and Umrah. The area is marked by a green carpet to distinguish it from the rest of the mosque, which has a red carpet. Scholars interpret the hadith to mean that good deeds performed there bring special mercy from Allah and are a path to Jannah. Millions of pilgrims visit annually to offer prayers and supplications, believing worship there carries great spiritual reward. Visitors are advised to pray calmly and avoid crowding others while in Riyaz ul Jannah.
