All That You Deserve

It's hard for me to lower my guard, most times I never do. In my past I've made mistakes causing tension between me and you. I have been very hard nosed, so sure of myself, and no one can change my mind. It is now clear to me, that a change is needed, it's time for me to change my now. I lower my stance, not to be less, but to greet you. But it shows generosity, trust, and respect, as that's how I see you. I lower my guard, relinquish my strength, to let you show yours. In this way I give to you, all that you deserve. I choose to unlock my door from the inside, and lower my guard of security. Not because I'm defeated, but out of respect, because in you, I find peace. I do this just to show you I'm real, and perhaps a touch of maturity. My life long defenses, I give all authority to you, and to you I release. It is hard for me to just let go, but to you I will bow down. To prove to you I am sincere, I will relinquish my crown.
