Picture a circle of light so perfect it looks painted onto the sky. It is hanging in deep space right now, completely real. You are looking at gravity itself, bending light into a shape it should never make.
The James Webb Space Telescope caught this ring while scanning distant galaxy clusters. Its light traveled 21 billion light years to reach us, the most distant object of its kind ever recorded.
A shape this exact needs near impossible alignment. Two galaxies and Earth, lined up across millions of light years.
Today we visit that ring, and a few more like it. One was found by an amateur, sorting through public Webb data at home. Another hides a galaxy far denser than it should be. One more comes from a survey of 182 galaxy clusters, watched across 8 billion years.
