What makes a good dance floor? As a producer, I believe that intention and creativity are fundamental. It is about understanding the space and designing it to foster connections that go beyond dancing—creating environments where people can disconnect, meet others, or forge bonds. From a dancer's perspective, respect is key: avoiding intrusiveness and remaining aware of your surroundings. • What was the idea behind your set? I enjoyed the opportunity to create a more visceral and spontaneous set—free from the pressure of the dance floor—and to showcase more of my collection. My influences stem not only from music but also from the visual realm, cinema, aesthetics, and the senses. I feel that every set is a film that needs to unfold; it holds many contrasts and explores a wide range of sensations and mental spaces, yet it maintains a unifying thread. • Tell us about a magical moment in a club When I played at Basement (NY), I was a bit apprehensive because I was facing a new, highly cosmopolitan culture; however, seeing so many diverse people from different backgrounds connect with me through the music during my set made me realize that music is a universal language. I still remember the shivers running down my spine from the sheer happiness I felt. • Why do we need club culture? The club is a space for liberation and self-discovery. What happens on the dance floor speaks volumes about what we repress in real life. As a judgment-free, ephemeral, and spontaneous space, it helps us understand ourselves more deeply—both as individuals and as a society. This open-mindedness empowers us and allows us to integrate this culture into our daily lives, fostering acceptance of our bodies, our imperfections, and our unique traits. • How did you start DJing, and what motivates you? When I was 15, I connected with a lot of queer people who listened to more alternative music; however, we were marginalized in many spaces and needed a place where we could enjoy it. There was an empty commercial space next to my house, and the owner had given me the keys so I could show it to prospective tenants, so a few friends and I started throwing parties there, DJing with CDs on Denon decks. It all began with the need for a space—something that eventually evolved into a beautiful and important vocation and profession for me.
