Track Making in Mullanpur Offroad Track Chandigarh | Aaruksh | Offroad vlog

Not every off-road adventure ends with conquering the destination - sometimes the journey itself becomes the story. 🚙🌲 In this video, we headed to Mullanpur, one of the most popular off-roading locations near Chandigarh, with a goal that was a little different from our usual drives. Instead of following existing trails, we decided to explore a completely new area and create a new track from scratch. Our convoy consisted of several capable 4x4s, including modified Maruti Gypsys, Mahindra Thar CRDe, Mahindra Thar mHawk, Toyota Hilux, and Maruti Jimny. With experienced drivers and well-built machines, we were excited to see how far we could push into untouched terrain. As expected, making a new trail wasn't easy. Unlike established tracks where the route is already visible, we had to constantly clear our own way forward. Along the journey, we encountered numerous obstacles including large rocks blocking the path, loose stones, uneven terrain, and fallen branches. At several places, we had to stop, assess the situation, and physically remove obstacles before the vehicles could continue. The deeper we went, the more challenging and rewarding the exploration became. That's the beauty of trail-making, every few meters feel like an achievement because you're driving where very few, if any, vehicles have gone before. Just when we thought we were getting close to opening up a promising new route, we encountered our biggest obstacle of the day. A massive fallen tree was lying directly across the trail, completely blocking any possibility of moving forward. After discussing our options, we decided to use the winch-equipped Thar mHawk to pull the tree out of the way. We attached the recovery equipment and started the pull. For a moment, it looked like the plan was working. The tree began to move slightly, and everyone was hopeful that we would clear the route and continue deeper into the trail. But nature had other plans. The tree was far heavier and more firmly lodged than it appeared. The winch was placed under tremendous load and eventually overheated. After working hard for several minutes, the winch shut down and stopped functioning. At the same time, the sun was beginning to set behind the hills. The light was fading quickly, visibility was reducing, and continuing further would have been an unnecessary risk. So we made the smart decision. Instead of forcing the situation, we decided to turn back, head home safely, and return another weekend with a better plan, more equipment, and fresh energy to continue the mission. That's what off-roading and trail exploration are all about. Not every obstacle is meant to be conquered immediately. Sometimes patience, planning, and respecting nature are just as important as horsepower and recovery gear. Although we couldn't complete the trail this time, we discovered a lot, learned even more, and had an amazing day with fellow off-road enthusiasts. And honestly, that's what matters most.
