WKBW Radio, 1520am, Danny Neaverth & Joey Reynolds, 1965, Buffalo, New York

It’s Monday, June 21, 1965. You’re a teenager living more than 90 miles from WKBW’s transmitter in Hamburg, New York. As the sun sets, KB’s powerful 50,000-watt signal reaches across the Eastern Seaboard, carrying the voices of Danny Neaverth and The Great Joey Reynolds. You tune your transistor radio to 1520 AM. The signal fades in and out as atmospheric conditions shift, but the on-air banter between these two broadcasting legends is must-listen radio. THIS was Buffalo radio in the mid-1960s. Classic. This aircheck was originally recorded & presented by Dave Edward.
