HOW TO: remove water spots from paint, with Garage Therapy IG712

A real water spot removal walkthrough today, using a panel I purposefully trashed in the sun to give myself a legitimate test: Garage Therapy DMS (demineralization shampoo), their spray Water Spot Remover, and CS, their spray-on coating-light product. DMS is acidic and can't be left to dwell long, but it got me to roughly 60% cleanup of the water spots on its own — a strong result for a wash-step product. I followed that with the spray Water Spot Remover, which finished the job to about 90% cleanup; it's a little thin so you'll get some running on angled or vertical panels, but it worked well enough that I also tried it on my stainless steel fridge with good results — it's not just a car product. For anything tougher, Labocosmetica makes a thicker, more clingy (and pricier) water spot remover, but this held its own for the price. Finished up with CS, a spray-on coating you level with a pad and wipe off — think of it as a coating-light in the same category as Armor Detail Supply's Phoenic or Phoenix EOD's Immortal. Super slick, easy to apply, forgiving enough that I could deliberately create a high spot and reactivate/wipe it out with no issue, and rated around 5 months of durability — a nice stopgap between a wax and a full ceramic coating.
