I almost missed this lighthouse climb! In this video, we’ll discover the nearly 200-year history of Cape Florida Lighthouse, make the climb into the lantern room, and spend some time exploring the keeper’s cottage and surrounding grounds. Located inside Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park on Key Biscayne, Cape Florida Lighthouse is the oldest standing structure in Miami-Dade County—and another beautiful stop on my Florida lighthouse road trip. It was 109 spiral steps to the top, with incredible views of Key Biscayne, Miami, and the Atlantic Ocean. Thank you for continuing to follow along with me on these adventures.
