Composers Ryan Holladay (Weapons, Resident Evil) and Jason Graves (Dead Space, Still Wakes the Deep) talk with Jamin Warren about how horror gets scored for film and games: dread, stingers, extended technique, interactive music and the instruments they build. Ryan and his brother Hays scored Zach Cregger's Weapons and this year's Resident Evil. Jason wrote the music for the original Dead Space trilogy, Until Dawn, The Dark Pictures Anthology and Still Wakes the Deep, built around The Rig, a metal sculpture Matt McConnell made for the score.
