What does Jesus’ parable of the wedding feast mean? In this sermon on Matthew 22:1–14, Pastor Dr. A.W. Tucker examines the King’s invitation, the wedding garment, and Jesus’ warning: “Many are called, but few are chosen.” God has prepared a glorious feast in His Son. Some reject His invitation through open hostility. Others simply get back to business. But a full calendar and a successful life cannot excuse a heart that treats Christ as unimportant. Neither can church membership replace saving faith. This message explores the riches of the gospel, Jerusalem’s coming destruction in AD 70, the gathering of the Gentiles, and the difference between outward religious profession and being clothed in Christ’s righteousness. The King’s feast will be full. His Son will have His inheritance. Our calling is to carry the gospel invitation into the highways and make disciples of all nations.
