Jaishankar, Hon’ble Minister for External Affairs, Government of India, and the Embassy of India in Moscow to immediately verify the reported death of **Mohammed Afzal Khan, a native of Banswada, Kamareddy District, Telangana**, who was allegedly sent to serve under the Russian Military. Amjed Ullah Khan stated that four Telangana nationals—**Bhukya Ravinder, Sirshu Ashok, Megavath Prakash and Mohammed Afzal Khan**—had reportedly travelled to Russia after being promised jobs by travel agents but were subsequently allegedly engaged under Russian military contracts. In a shocking development, Sirshu Ashok reportedly sent a voice message to his wife at around 9:00 PM, claiming that Mohammed Afzal Khan had died the previous week while fighting for Russia near the Russia–Ukraine border. Amjed Ullah Khan has shared the family’s photographs and video appeal with the Hon’ble External Affairs Minister and the Indian Embassy, seeking immediate diplomatic intervention and verified information about Afzal Khan’s whereabouts and safety. Amjed Ullah Khan urged the Ministry of External Affairs to immediately contact the Russian Ministry of Defence and other concerned authorities to establish the facts. If the death is confirmed, he requested the Government of India to facilitate the identification and repatriation of Afzal Khan’s mortal remains to India at the earliest. He further appealed to the Indian Embassy in Moscow to urgently ascertain the whereabouts and safety of **Sirshu Ashok, Bhukya Ravinder and Megavath Prakash**, and take all possible diplomatic steps to secure their lawful release and safe return to India. Amjed Ullah Khan also recalled that the Embassy of India in Moscow had earlier informed him that the matter had been taken up with the Russian Ministry of Defence, seeking the release of the concerned person from the Russian Army. *“The family of Mohammed Afzal Khan is going through unimaginable mental agony. They deserve immediate and accurate information about their loved one. I appeal to Dr. S. Jaishankar and the Indian Embassy in Moscow to treat this as an urgent humanitarian matter and obtain an official confirmation from the Russian authorities without any further delay,”* Amjed Ullah Khan said. He urged the Government of India to maintain direct communication with the family, provide regular updates and continue diplomatic efforts until the facts are established and all affected Indian nationals receive the necessary assistance. Amjed Ullah Khan reiterated that the Government of India must make every possible effort to protect Indian nationals caught in conflict zones and ensure that their families are not left in uncertainty. #AmjedUllahKhan #MBT #MohammedAfzalKhan #Telangana #Banswada #Kamareddy #Russia #RussiaUkraineWar #MEA #Jaishankar #EmbassyOfIndia #Moscow #HumanitarianAppeal #SafeRepatriation
