Bruce Campbell Like You've Never Seen Him Before | Full Interview

Bruce Campbell without the chainsaw. ❤️🎬 I sat down with Bruce at ‪@StilesSwitchFilms‬ in Austin to talk about his new movie Ernie & Emma … A film he wrote, directed, stars in AND financed himself, giving him complete creative control for the first time since the original Evil Dead. Bruce calls it a “sunrise story.” He plays Ernie, a widower whose wife leaves behind a series of letters telling him where to take her ashes after she dies. What follows is funny, heartbreaking and ultimately hopeful, what Bruce describes as a love story from beyond the grave. His takeaway: “Love never dies. It just gets hidden from our view.” ❤️ And yes, he promises you’ll laugh too. His description of the movie might be my favorite: “Basically like a Hallmark movie with drugs, alcohol, swearing and infidelity.” 😂 You can see Ernie & Emma in Austin: 🎥 ‪@AlamoDrafthouse‬ Slaughter Lane + Lakeline 📅 Friday, October 9 – Thursday, October 15, 2026 🎬 Bruce Campbell’s Ernie & Emma Tour — Upcoming Dates 📍 Oct. 9 – Austin, TX | Alamo Drafthouse Lakeline 📍 Oct. 10 – Austin, TX | Alamo Drafthouse Slaughter Lane 📍 Oct. 30 – Springfield, MO | Alamo Drafthouse Springfield 📍 Oct. 31 – St. Louis, MO | Alamo Drafthouse City Foundry 📍 Nov. 6 – Indianapolis, IN | Alamo Drafthouse Indianapolis 📍 Nov. 7 – Chicago, IL | Alamo Drafthouse Wrigleyville 📍 Nov. 13 – Woodbury, MN | Alamo Drafthouse Woodbury 📍 Nov. 14 – Littleton, CO | Alamo Drafthouse Littleton 🎟️ Tour details and tickets: https://www.ernieandemma.com/tour
