Join us as we explore Rovaniemi, the capital of Finnish Lapland, for a day filled with adorable huskies, Arctic Circle fun, and an unexpected food discovery! 🐺 Meeting the Siberian Huskies Our visit to Husky Park gave us the chance to meet and feed these beautiful dogs. Our guide introduced us to the pack and shared interesting facts about Siberian Huskies, including their history as sled dogs and their remarkable adaptations to cold climates. One of the coolest things about huskies is their eye color! Some have two blue eyes, two brown eyes, or even one blue and one brown eye — a condition known as heterochromia. Their thick double coats help insulate them against freezing temperatures, and their history as working sled dogs reflects their incredible endurance. 🎅 Santa Claus Village & the Arctic Circle Next, we explored Santa Claus Village, one of Rovaniemi’s best-known attractions. Of course, we couldn’t resist walking back and forth across the Arctic Circle line! 😂 Having already visited Tromsø, we thought we’d had our Arctic experiences — but crossing the line again in Rovaniemi was another fun travel memory. From meeting these wonderful dogs to exploring Santa’s village, it was another special day in Finnish Lapland.
