With the aspiration to contribute to advancing the quality of healthcare in Vietnam, the Residency Programs at VinUniversity is designed in alignment with international standards for graduate medical education, integrating a strong academic foundation with rigorous clinical training within the context of Vietnam’s healthcare system. To date, four residency programs: Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, General Surgery, and Orthopedic Surgery at VinUniversity have been accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education International (ACGME-I), the prestigious international accrediting body affiliated with the U.S. Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education. ACGME-I accreditation not only affirms the program’s training quality but also enables VinUniversity residents to meet eligibility requirements for applying to international subspecialty training programs (fellowships) in countries that follow the same accreditation framework. Notably, during the period 2025–2030, physicians admitted to the program will receive full scholarships covering the entire 4 - 5 years of training, funded by 80% from VinUniversity and 20% from the Vinmec Healthcare System, along with a monthly living stipend throughout the duration of their residency.
