Voice of Hind Rajab sweeps Venice film festival

Hind Rajab, the five-year-old Palestinian girl killed by Israeli soldiers, has become a global symbol of Israel's war on Gaza. When Tunisian filmmaker Kaouther Ben Hania heard the recordings of Hind pleading for help, she knew she had to do something about it. She produced "The Voice of Hind Rajab", a film narrating Hind's last moments through recordings of her phone calls with paramedics - two of whom were also killed by Israeli forces while trying to rescue her. Earning an unprecedented 24-minute standing ovation, the film took the Venice Film Festival by storm.
