Birdsville & the flooded Simpson Desert 2026/33

We spend a week in Birdsville while rained in. The road east is closed our entire stay. We enjoy everything Birdsville has to offer, including a flight over the flooded Simpson Desert! Big Red has a lake below it. Something that has to be seen to be believed! Visiting Birdsville in flood is an amazing experience, and one we are so glad that we have experienced for ourselves.
