Soaked & Sideways! Cyclekarting at Oulton Park Gold Cup 2026

Three days of cyclekarting at the Oulton Park Gold Cup 2026—and almost every kind of British weather imaginable. Cyclekarts GB joined the Gold Cup weekend for a series of demonstration runs, but persistent rain turned the circuit into an extremely slippery challenge. Saturday was completely soaked. Sunday brought brief sunshine, wet hot laps, close onboard battles, overtakes around both sides of the hairpin—and an exhaust failure that brought the Hudson Eight GP’s weekend to an early end. Monday began bright and dry before a last-minute storm soaked the track again, just in time for the parade lap. That didn’t stop the remaining drivers from heading out, producing more slides, spins and brilliant wet-weather action.
