This was a WW I recorded way back in November, that I neglected to edit because I was busy.
I think I played overall decently, with of course, the many errors with my decision making. As always, please learn from my mistakes. For instance, I should've waited to use my shock on rBC on the grass set, rather than the hallway set, to ensure that no one else could pull items that could have interfered with my success. I did fine anyways, but I could've made a safer decision. However, I simply need to learn how to dodge a blue shell; because I clearly fumbled on BCWIi. Similarly, don't carelessly throw away your protection, or run straight into blatantly obvious FIBS (like I did on the same BCWii race). Additionally, don't shroom on a turn, especially not the one on DKJP; as the topography of the road will certainly hurl you somewhere you don't want to be. And if you're far behind on a heavy FR track on L3, Don't hold your dodges! It gains you absolutely nothing. Btw, the sidesteppers on SGB are annoying, but not impossible. They have cycles and patterns, any one should be able to pick up on them, rather than simply expect the cycles to work in your favor. And I cannot emphasize enough: Do NOT stop for an item on L3!!! I got lucky by dodging on SGB, but let me reiterate: Do NOT stop for any reason on L3! Similarly, while the shroomba on KC is fun to do, if the risk exceeds the reward, (especially L3) simply don't do it. Me failing it L3 was the catalyst for my misfortune that race. In general, don't do risky things when you're right behind 1st. Second is the ideal spot to be, because blue will not target you, and you only have to deal with the items of one person. And you'll never be penalized in large rooms for 2nd. But if you can overtake safely, go for it. Don't hinder yourself because of a stubborn mindset. Contrarily, I don;t wanna talk about GV... I just suck.... Similarly, don't fumble when you're shocked after set L3, and defenseless. Play safe, not risky. That applies everywhere, not just on DC. As a few last notes, be generally aware of what's around you, and act accordingly. And me cautious in tight packs, and most importantly, don't be stupid in the back towards the end of the race. Mistakes will stack, and kill you. (Like the MC race) With all of that being said, if you do what I did on LC, you'll always win! lol.
