Swapping a conventional zip with continuous zip tape

Continuous zip tape can offer greater flexibility when it comes to adding zips to your projects, but we often hear folks say they aren't sure how to use it in place of a 'normal' zip. In our latest Mini Project Boxes we featured the Noodlehead Canvas Pencil Pouch which called for a 10" zip. We swapped this out for a length of continuous zip tape and a matching zip pull - the colours were a better match and the size of the nylon zip teeth feel more luxurious than the flat zips we had to hand. The fab Noodlehead instructions walked you through how to sew up this handy pencil pouch with a fixed zip, so I have recorded a quick tutorial to complement our Mini Project Boxes to show how simple it is to switch to a continuous zip.
