LIVE | Early Voting Begins: New Signs Of Democratic Energy Emerge Ahead Of 2026 Midterms | N18G

Early voting is getting underway across the United States as the 2026 midterm elections enter their final stretch, putting voter turnout and participation patterns under the spotlight. The early-voting picture is being closely watched by both parties. An NBC News poll conducted September 11–15 found that 36% of registered Democrats said they planned to vote in person at an early-voting site, up six percentage points from the comparable point in 2024. The same poll found 23% of Democrats planned to vote by mail, while 36% expected to vote on Election Day. National polling also shows Democrats currently ahead on the congressional generic ballot. The September NPR/PBS News/Marist poll found 53% of registered voters preferred the Democratic congressional candidate compared with 41% for the Republican candidate, while Emerson College Polling reported a 53%-42% Democratic advantage in its September survey. These are national polling measurements and do not directly translate into individual race outcomes. #USMidterms #EarlyVoting #Midterms2026 #Democrats #Republicans #USPolitics #Senate #Congress #Voting #Election2026 n18oc_live CNN-News18 is your trusted source for breaking news, updates, and in-depth analysis from around the world.
