On this week's In The Metal, Johnny McElherron and Jayesh Kumar serve up a five course smörgåsbord of eclectic novelties from across the spectrum of independent watchmaking. We take a look at the latest collaboration between Louis Erard and Vianney Halter, who have taken a very deep dive into the indie watchmaker's world of Futur Antérieur fantasy, and emerged with a pair of accessible (although immediately sold-out) Antiqua-lite pieces. Peter Speake pays tribute to the classical age of English watchmaking with his new Tsuba 1720 model, while Arnold and Son introduce two new editions of their fab DSTB creation. We also check out the latest piece from Norwegian brand Straum, who have teamed up with our friends at The Real Time Show to produce the very cool Jan Mayen Titanium Stormy Seas, and lastly to Bell & Ross and their speed-skiing inspired Snow Rocket edition.
