The Kundera Project II - Laughable Loves

Ten years ago , I was drawn into the literary universe of Milan Kundera through my friend Pavlos and it instantly claimed my undivided attention as a reader. I read one book after another and once I had devoured them all I returned back to the beginning, starting the journey all over again. It was during that second phase that I found myself composing music while reading, as though I were creating the soundtrack to a film playing in my mind. In this way, a constellation of musical compositions began to emerge, and I eventually decided to record and release them as a limited edition. The first album, The Kundera Project I (2023) features my compositions for solo piano, while the second, Kundera Project II (2026) presents works written for jazz quartet. All of this music was brought to life with great care and enthusiasm, thanks to the wonderful musician-friends who have stood by my side from the very beginning. Philippos ,Alex, George, James and Yiannis, I thank you all! As a closing thought, I would like to say that within the worlds woven by Milan Kundera I found the language to embrace and give voice to all that had long unsettled my thoughts and stirred the depths of my soul. They became the sheltered harbor, where my spirit finds peace, joy and tranquility. "Where the universe descends like a fine rain" , I encounter the echoes of who I once was; and it is through them that I became the man I am today. Enjoy the listening!
