Abandoned 1951 Hudson Hornet Found in an Old Radio Station | Restoration ASMR

Watch this abandoned 1951 Hudson Hornet Series 7A Club Coupe return to the road in a complete ASMR restoration, from severe Monobilt rust and a seized 308 flathead-six to fresh Pacific Blue paint and factory-style reassembly. Found inside a forgotten AM radio station outside Charlotte, North Carolina, this classic Hudson is carefully recovered, stripped, structurally repaired, rebuilt, repainted, and driven again after decades of neglect. This 1951 Hudson Hornet still carries one of the most fascinating designs of postwar America: Hudson’s low Step-Down Monobilt construction and the massive 308 cu in H-145 flathead inline-six. The car had spent decades surrounded by old transmitter cabinets, reel-to-reel machines, microphones, cables, and forgotten broadcast equipment. Moisture and years of abandonment left the body badly corroded, the rocker and perimeter structure damaged, the Pacific Blue paint almost completely exhausted, and the original straight-six unable to run. The restoration includes: • recovery and transport from the abandoned radio facility • deep cleaning and complete teardown • structural Monobilt rust repair • metal shaping and body repair • filler, sanding and primer preparation • factory-style Pacific Blue refinishing • complete Hudson 308 flathead-six rebuild • suspension, brake and drivetrain restoration • Blue-Gray period interior restoration • chrome, glass, trim and whitewall tire reassembly • first start and final road test No restomod. No V8 swap. No Twin-H conversion. The goal is to bring this Hornet back as an elegant factory-style 1951 American road car. 🎧 Best experienced with headphones. No talking. No music. Just restoration sounds and the journey of bringing an old Hudson back to life.
