a dreamy (& bookish) one-hour work with me

picture this: you're in your own personal library. there are piles of books on every available surface. candles have been carefully placed, tea has been carefully poured. soft music is playing. a deep breath has you sinking into your skin, aware of your cold toes as you tuck them into slippers or under you, the tip of your nose, the edges of your ears, the feel of paper and pen beneath your fingers. life is dreamy. you know the drill — it took me an age and a half to choose the music but that's part of the magic. feel free to mute the vid and play your own rad working playlist while we work. 📔 hi, i'm kate! i have a master of arts in english, a handful of almost-dead-but-trying-to-stay-alive-for-mama house plants, and five half-written novels. i work contractually as a research assistant and as co-host of a scholarly podcast. you can also find me at www.thelivinghours.ca, where i sporadically write about the steam above my coffee cup and the way the light strikes just right at eight o'clock on a summer evening. looking for me? ◦ wordpress | www.thelivinghours.ca ◦ instagram | @livinghours music: 0:00 - 2:13 "Remove the Complexities" by Peter Sandberg 2:13 - 4:03 "Dismantle" by Peter Sandberg 4:03 - 5:58 "Serene (Scaled Down Version)" by Johannes Bornlof 5:58 - 7:54 "Epic Thoughts" by Eneide 7:54 - 9:56 "Ballad for Olivia" by Eneide 9:56 - 11:56 "In the Chains of Sorrow" by Eneide 11:56 - 14:10 "Island Hopping" by Eneide 14:10 - 16:19 "For Jack" by Arden Forest 16:19 - 18:15 "Soft Reminder" by Eneide 18:15 - 20:26 "Gravity & Growth" by Eneide 20:26 - 23:07 "Vistoris Lake" by Arden Forest 23:07 - 25:16 "Stepping on Glass" by Eneide 25:16 - 27:19 "Love Notions" by Atlas Kind 27:19 - 30:15 "Forgotten" by Ever So Blue 30:15 - 33:07 "Luminescent" by Christophe Gorman 33:07 - 37:01 "Trans Siberian Express" by Luella Gren [melody stem] 37:01 - 39:22 "The Streets of Belgrade" by Infinity Ripple 39:22 - 42:05 "Ambiguous" by Rina Rinoa 42:05 - 44:43 "Be Still" by Harley Rain 44:43 - 47:41 "Wherever You Go" by Harley Rain 47:41 - 50:20 "Kobicha" by Arden Forest 50:20 - 53:07 "In a Bar in Buenos Aires" by Franz Gordon 53:07 - 55:43 "La Fille Sans Larmes" by Lo Mimieux 55:43 - 57:45 "In the Chains of Sorrow" by Eneide 57:45 - 59:54 "Gravity & Growth" by Eneide 59:54 - 1:01:48 "Dismantle" by Peter Sandberg 1:01:48 - 1:04:02 "Remove the Complexities" by Peter Sandberg 1:04:02 - 1:06:39 "Ambiguous" by Rina Rinoa 1:06:39 - 1:08:05 "Lanterns" by Hushed
