San Joao or Sao Joao is an ethnic festival in Goa, India, celebrated on June 24 - feast of St John - by jumping in the wells or water bodies by young folk wearing beautiful coronets of fresh flowers on the heads, singing Konkani songs and dancing to the rustic beat of ghumott-madiem - ethnic percussion instruments of Goa - and cymbals. In villages, the revellers go from door to door jumping in the wells and they are offered 'dalis" comprising fruits and sweets, especially by families who have celebrated a wedding or birth of a baby during the year. The song is from another primitive and ethnic theatre of Goa called Zagor, and was composed by Domnic Rod for this Zagor "Sukh Tankam Favo Zaum" held in Parra, Goa, on May 17, 2014.
