Johan M - Flykten från ditt leende

Created in suno. The lyrics are inspired from an old poem I wrote in my early twenties. Where i took a chance, collected my courage and told a girl i liked that i liked her. She was with her friends in the club, said thanks. And i fled. That became the poem and now the song "flykten från ditt leende". (Escape from your smile). And i then thought about how she might have seen it, and that started with a response song. But became a song that i draw inspiration from when i also was young, and dated a few girls, and everyone i treated well, built up together but when i felt she was better then me and i couldnt match it, i started to create excuses for why she didnt need me, or why her life was better without me, and i left them... later ive spoken with a few and they told me everything was good, the love so good, and you Just left me. What did i do wrong, and ive later explained myself, that it wasnt them it was me, i couldnt deal with beeing lesser then what i felt they deserved, i couldnt handle to stay where they gave to me what i couldnt give in return.... and ive felt it in return later in life, in relationships so good, so perfect, then from nowhere im left to my own, and i recognize the excuses, but i didnt want to accept it. And i wanted to explain that it was ok , but i also know that nobody could have convinced me back then when i was the one taking my escape... so this song "som Imman på min spegel" is how i can imagine how someone can feel when they leave the love they long for but to afraid to stay in. When the body screams DANGER even though its safe, but so different so foreign. And all you can do is stay in the empty lonely silence and long for that feeling while also fear it with every fiber of your body.
