The Sound Medicine of Sacred Vedic and Kirtan Chanting

Recorded April 2023: This is a one-hour conversation and practice session hosted by Stephen Dinan of Shift Network with Nina Rao. Nina has been studying Veda chanting with her teacher from the Mysore lineage for a couple of years, as she continues to lead the singing of kirtan as a devotional, healing practice. Nina shares a verse from the "Sri Rudram" where we hear the first inspirations for the singing the Names of God as we do in kirtan and as an example we sing "om namah shivaya" as part of the practice.
