Out on the water in Kaikōura for a proper deep-water fishing mission with a good mate! We’re chasing blue cod, dropping into deep water, and seeing some massive fish marks at 228 metres. Then there’s the barracuda chaos, lost gear, plenty of fishing action, and a mate who earns himself a new nickname — The Cuda Slayer! 😂 This is a real day on the water, with the good catches, the unexpected moments, and everything that comes with a day of fishing off the Kaikōura coast. No staged fishing show here. Just us, the boat, the gear, and a day doing what we love. We’re Father and Son Deep NZ Horizons, sharing our way of life through fishing, boating, camping, travel and adventures around beautiful New Zealand. Our motto is simple: We Adapt. We Survive.
