Despite having spent a lot of time in the South of France, I had never been to the French Riviera, until now. I am so excited to share some beautiful days visiting towns, villas, beaches and art destinations in the area. My friend Sarah came to meet me from California, and we stayed in Beaulieu-sur-Mer, a beautiful Belle Époque town on the Côte d'Azur. First, we walked to the neighbouring town of Villefranche-sur-Mer to explore the colourful streets and spend the afternoon swimming in the sea. Then we visited Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild on Cap Ferrat, a spectacular villa commissioned by Béatrice de Rothschild in the early 1900s, filled with 18th century French decorative arts and surrounded by themed gardens. We stayed until closing time to catch the evening light. The next day, we took the bus to Nice for the Monday antique market, walked around the old town, and headed up to the Matisse Museum for a wonderful exhibition on the influence Matisse had on Yves Saint Laurent's designs. This is a silent travel vlog with no talking, so enjoy the atmosphere of the Côte d'Azur with me.
