At Superbooth 2026, I talked with Stefano from SuonoBuono about Polyvera - a synthesizer that took around four years to develop and was born from a simple idea: building the instrument he couldn't find on the market.

Polyvera combines the character of early digital instruments - samples, wavetables, aliasing and that unmistakable '80s digital texture - with analog filters designed to have real personality.
We talk about the story behind SuonoBuono, Stefano's inspirations from PPG and early Akai, and Roland samplers, why he deliberately didn't follow current synth market trends, and what makes Polyvera different.
Stefano also talks about the latest developments, including a new hybrid analog/digital wavefolder, new sounds and modulation possibilities that can create some seriously strange recursive feedback.
Designed and produced in Stockholm, Sweden.
Filmed at Superbooth 2026.
