Oh Sundari

🎵 Oh Sundari... A Love Folk Song Rooted in the Soul of North Bengal With the simplicity of rural life in North Bengal, the longing of a loving heart, and the joy of festive celebrations, I am delighted to present my new folk song, “Oh Sundari...” Durga Puja brings new dreams, renewed happiness, and a special opportunity to express one's love to that special someone. This song portrays the familiar yet beautiful longing of a young man in love. After a long wait, he finally receives his much-awaited job appointment letter, filling his heart with new hope. As the festive season approaches, he wishes to know the feelings of his beloved—is she willing to become his life partner? The tradition of sending a matchmaker, the sound of wedding shehnai, the rhythmic beats of Puja drums, and the dream of welcoming his beloved into his home dressed in a new saree—all these elements come together in this song. Through simple, heartfelt folk expressions, it is my sincere attempt to capture the spirit of rural romance, traditional customs, and festive life in North Bengal. I am not a professional artist. My journey into songwriting, composing, and musical arrangement has grown out of my love for folk music and the emotions I carry in my heart. If this humble effort brings a little joy to your lives, revives cherished memories of the past, or reminds you of someone dear, I will consider my creation truly worthwhile. Your love, blessings, and support are my greatest sources of inspiration for the journey ahead. Listen, enjoy, and if you like the song, please share it with your friends and loved ones. Wishing everyone a joyful and blessed Durga Puja, filled with love, happiness, and beautiful memories. Lyrics, Music & Musical Arrangement: Narayan Rooted in the fragrance of the soil, inspired by the love of the people, and expressed through the melody of folk music. 🎶
