Building a DIY Chicken Grazing Box | Year-Round Fodder System for Backyard Chickens

In this week’s video, we took on an exciting new project for our chickens: building a grazing box! With the grass dwindling, we needed a solution to keep our girls fed and away from the veggie patch. Using leftover lumber and wire mesh, we constructed a grazing box, filled it with compost, and planted chicken-friendly seeds. The seeds are a mix of red clover, rapeseed, oats, buckwheat and alfalfa. They should start spouting within a week if everything goes to plan.
