The is part 1 of three videos about our journey to Colorado for something special. In this journey, we made several stops along I-70 in the San Rafael Swell. They included Ghost Rock, Devil's Canyon Overlook and Salt Wash Viewpoint. We continued our drive to Green River, Utah, and checked into our hotel, River Terrace in on the Green River before heading out to check out Crystal Geyser. It was a fascinating stop! Day 2 we continued our drive to Colorado National Monument where we spent the day driving the 23 mile scenic Rim Rock Drive and exploring various overlooks, and did some short hikes! We spent the entire day there! Day 3 had us exploring Rifle Falls State Park. it was an interesting and peaceful state park with some hiking and a triple waterfall that plunged some 70 feet into a lush canyon. From there our drive continued thru Glenwood Canyon. It was very scenic with towering canyon walls a train track, the Colorado River, and a two tiered I-70 sandwiched between the towering cliffs. Once we reached Eagle, we left the interstate and headed north on Colorado 131. Here were ranch lands, rolling valleys, 3 mountain goats along the road, and even a cowboy and cowgirl herding cattle down the road. That was very interesting to see. Byers Canyon was a very scenic area with the river and a train track along with towering cliffs in the canyon. There were interesting site along the way...a lot of beauty! That evening we joined with family members for dinner at the historic Grand Lake Lodge in Rocky Mountain National Park. The Lodge overlooked Grand Lake. Later we checked into our lodging in Granby, Colorado, where we were sure to have a busy weekend! Camera gear-iPhone 14 pro, iPhone 17 pro Sound--DJI mikes
