"The Best Player No One Ever Heard Of" - A Jamaal Wilkes Documentary | FPP

Jamaal Wilkes was known as "Silk" and there's never been a more fitting nickname. Wilkes is a California basketball legend. He and Bill Walton helped carry on John Wooden's Championship tradition with the UCLA Bruins. When Wilkes went to the NBA, more championships followed. Whether with the Golden State Warriors or Los Angeles Lakers, Wilkes just won. In LA, he became one of the most overlooked players in the league. Magic Johnson and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar got the fanfare, but Wilkes was quiet consistency every night. His game wasn't flashy, and he wasn't loud, but the results spoke for themselves. Jamaal Wilkes may be the greatest NBA player that you've never heard of. *Copyright Disclaimer Under Section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976, allowance is made for "fair use" for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and research.
