They Dumped 45 Tons of Corn Cobs on a Retired Mechanic’s Land. Brutal Winter Made Him the Man to See

Forty-five tons of corn cobs came pouring out of seven trailers onto a retired mechanic's field in Iowa, and the whole town of Elm Prairie was sure Orville Teague had lost his mind. What did the old man know about a pile of trash that nobody else did, and what would a hard winter ask of him? This farm story follows an American farmer, his patient wife, a cheerful plant manager and one stubborn mistake through the winter of 1977. If you enjoy waste to wealth tales, rural life and old-fashioned know-how, you are in the right place. This is a fictional story created for entertainment, and the farming ideas in it are inspired by real agricultural practices.
