My review of the book Meditations on the Tarot by Valentin Tomberg (Anonymous) translated by Robert .A. Powell pub. Tarcher/Penguin 2002. Valentin Tomberg 1900-1973. Esotericist , Platonist & Anthroposophist, former follower of Theosophy, Christian mystic with an informal interest in Catholicism. This book is about Esoteric Christianity in relation to the major arcana cards of the Tarot. The author was a key member of the Anthroposophical Society who left the society due to his interest in Catholic ideas. This book is not officially recognised nor acknowledged by the Catholic Church as it does not endorse the ideas contained in its pages. The author mentions the possible dangers of some Esoteric magic practices.
