What If Michael Jordan Played in TODAY'S NBA? (The Numbers Are Insane)

What if prime Michael Jordan — the 1988 MVP and Defensive Player of the Year — got dropped into the 2026 NBA? In Episode 3 of What If, Seriously?, we change one fact about basketball history and follow the damage. No hype, just the rules, the stats, and the receipts: 🏀 The Rulebook — hand-checking is gone, freedom of movement is in, and the Bad Boys' "Jordan Rules" would get you ejected today. But the fine print cuts both ways. 🎯 The Three-Point Era — teams took 12.7 threes a game in 1997-98. The 2024-25 Celtics took 48.2. Where does the greatest midrange scorer ever fit? 📺 Fan Culture — 35.9 million people watched Game 6 of the 1998 Finals. Today's fans also have money on his point total. 📱 The Phones — the Steve Kerr fight had no cameras. In 2026, everything gets clipped. 💰 The Paycheck — Jordan made 123% of the salary cap. Under today's max contract rules, he'd take a 70%+ pay cut. 📊 The Verdict — so how many points a night does 2026 Jordan actually average?
