Roman Glassblowing

Roman Glassblowing A Talk by Owen Phillips, Graduate student in the Department of Classics at McMaster University. Under the supervision of Dr. Spencer Pope, Owen Phillips researched the Roman glass artefacts in the possession of the McMaster Museum of Art, especially what these artefacts represent with respect to Roman glassblowing. This talk was presented September 18, 2013 (during Hamilton Lifelong Learning Week) and complements the exhibition of Antiquities and Numismatics, curated by Dr. Pope and Mr. Phillips, now on view in the E. Togo Salmon Gallery at the Museum.
